Getting married is one thing. Meeting the soon to be In-Laws is another. More often than not, couples struggle with the fact that their parents do not or would not approve of their marriage. Why can’t they just be happy for their son or daughter?

Jumping The Broom is a comedy directed by Salim Akil and will be released this coming May 6, 2011. This film will be distributed under Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group. The cast in this hilarious film are Paula Patton, Angela Bassett, Laz Alonso, Loretta Devine, Romeo, Mike Epps, Tasha Smith, Julie Bowen, Valarie Pettiford, DeRay Davis, and Meagan Good.

When two African-American families meet for their son’s and daughter’s wedding, all hell breaks loose before the wedding begins. Their contrasting socio-economic backgrounds clash. This soon takes its toll on the bride and groom.

Source Code: Virtual Reality Turns into Reality

Are you an avid enthusiast of science fiction movies? Have you seen the movie Inception? Well, if you liked that movie, then you may like this new science fiction film – Source Code. Almost everything around us is connected to the cyber world. The Internet is one of our greatest innovations. How much more in years to come? Flying cars and maybe surrogates? Will these innovations will come to life soon?

Source Code is directed by Duncan Jones this coming April 1, 2011. This movie is a science fiction action film in association with Summit Entertainment, LLC. The cast include Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, and Jeffrey Wright.

Source Code is an undercover government program using intelligence and virtual reality to transfer one body to another. Captain Colter Stevens is one of the undercover operatives given a mission to stop a bombing of a Chicago train. With the clock counting down, he must find the source of the bomb and diffuse it before millions die. However, he is still in a state of shock as to how he got himself into another person’s body. Problems mount up as every 8 minutes a big explosion will be detonated. Until he finds clues to the location of the bombs, he cannot solve this crisis in Chicago. He must save the lives of millions with the help of the source code.

The 5th Quarter in association with Rocky Mountain Pictures will be released this coming March 25, 2011. This enlightening film is directed by Rick Bieber with the special cast of Aidan Quinn, Andie MacDowell, Ryan Merriman, and Jon Abbate.

During the 2006 football season, the untimely death of his older brother, Luke, takes its toll on Jon’s life as well as that of his family. Making matters worse, the Wake Forest University football teams dream of winning that season no longer seems likely. Fearing for his life and his family’s well being, Jon tries to recover from the loss of his brother and achieve their long time goal of winning the championship. With the help and support of his family as well as the team and fellow families of the university, Jon takes responsibility for bringing honor to his brother’s death. Jon wears the No. 5 jersey of his brother which inspires him and the team to play the best game of their lives. Tagged as the underdogs in their division, the Wake Forest University finish as champions in the 2006 season and become the most improved football team.

As the heir of a large fortune empire, Arthur lives his life irresponsibly. He is lazy and always relying on the the help of his long time nanny and his steady income. Being a happy go lucky guy, he always gets himself into trouble because of his lavish social lifestyle. However, as he grow older, his mother offers him a bargain to change his life and become more responsible. He is about be part of an arranged marriage to the daughter of her mothers business partner, the total opposite of himself.

The Best Animated Film Wins Annual Annie Awards 2011

How To Train Your Dragon is an animated film with a great storyline. The story revolves around the life of a viking’s son befriending their long time arch enemy, the dragons. Defying the code of their clan, he made friends with the dragons especially with the most dangerous dragon of them all, the Night Fury. Soon they become so close that no one can separate them even the viking’s father. In the midst of war between their two races, the viking boy realizes that there is a more dangerous dragon, a bigger and more horrible mother of them all. His father, the viking king sets off to find the lair of the beast. However, his party is outnumbered and they decide that no one can kill the dragon, except the Night Fury. Making matters worse, the viking boy sets off to help his father defeat the monster with the help of his best friend, the Night Fury. After a long fight, they defeat the monster dragon and are able to make their land more peaceful and safer, as they now have new friends, the dragons.

DreamWorks Animation’s “How To Train Your Dragon” won top honors as the Best Animated Feature at the 38th Annual Annie Awards on Saturday, February 5 at UCLA’s Royce Hall.  Best Animated Short Subject was presented to Pixar’s ‘Day & Night’; Best Animated Television Commercial to Duck Studios ‘Children’s Medical Center’; Nickelodeon’s ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ was honored as Best Animated Television Production for Children and Playdead’s ‘Limbo’ won Best Animated Video Game.  A new category, Character Animation in a Live Action Production was presented to Sony Pictures’ ‘Alice in Wonderland.’  A complete list of the 38th Annual Annie Award winners can be viewed at www.annieawards.org.  The Annie Awards ceremony will also be web cast on the Annies website later this month.

Host Tom Kenny was joined on stage by a lively mix of animation luminaries, celebrity presenters and comedic talent including animation legend June Foray, Matt Groening, James Hong, Danica McKellar, Kevin Michael Richardson, Mike Henry, Candi Milo, Bob Bergen, Jay Baruchel, Guillermo Del Toro, Bill Plympton, Billy West, Nika Futterman, Brian Regan, Corey Burton, Jeremy Shada, Olivia Olson, Jim Cummings, John DiMaggio and Eric Goldberg.   The Winsor McCay award was presented to three animation industry leaders  - Brad Bird, Eric Goldberg and Matt Groening.  Brad Bird is currently filming in Vancouver and accepted his Winsor via a videotaped message.
